Australian Gem Gallery

A Rainbow of Gems

Australia is an ancient land. Geologically speaking, it has some of the oldest rocks on the planet.

Over the eons, the earth's processes have created a storehouse of magnificent gems and minerals that make Australia unique. Mines and miners supply large quantities of diamond, sapphire, and of course, Australia's national gem, Opal, to the world market.
