Australia Post introduces new Opalised Fossil stamps

With collaboration from Jenni Brammall, Special Projects Officer at the Australian Opal Centre, and Ben Mc Henry, Senior Collections Manager for Earth Sciences at the South Australian Museum, Australia Post has recently released a new series of stamps featuring Opal Fossils from New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland.

The colourful stamps include an opalised pine cone and an opalised theropod tooth, both from Lightning Ridge (NSW). An opalised moon snail from Coober Pedy (SA) and opalised wood from Koroit (Queensland) are also showcased.
